Steady State Element

Represents a steady state in the system such as "conversation" in wireless and telephony applications.  
 


Steady state elements are added and modified using the Steady State Input Form:  
 
 
 
TIP: Pressing the Esc key will clear the contents of the input form and return the focus to the Type combo box. You can then select the type of element you want to add from the dropdown or by typing the first few letters of the desired selection.

The display text for the steady state element
From
Optional name of the lifelined header element to serve as the source. Leave blank to use the leftmost element as the source
To
Optional name of the lifelined header element to serve as the destination. Leave blank to use the rightmost element as the destination.
Doc
Documentation for the steady state element
Show Doc
Check to show documentation for the steady state in the diagram as an element documentation note or uncheck to hide (depending on Diagram Properties)
 
 
TIP: You can edit the element's documentation notes in a larger window using the Edit Documentation... command in the Diagram Menu
