State Element

Represents the current state of the associated header element. Typically used to indicate a state change after some event.

State elements are added and modified using the State Input Form:

TIP: Pressing the Esc key will clear the contents of the input form and return the focus to the Type combo box. You can then select the type of element you want to add from the dropdown or by typing the first few letters of the desired selection.

For	The name of the lifelined header element associated with the state
State	Display text for the state element
Share Guideline	Checked to share the guideline (horizontal line) with other state elements
Doc	Documentation for the state element
Show Doc	Check to show documentation for the state in the diagram as an element documentation note or uncheck to hide (depending on Diagram Properties)

TIP: You can edit the element's documentation notes in a larger window using the Edit Documentation... command in the Diagram Menu
