| Represents a grouping of related header elements into a logical subsystem or component. Groups may be nested within other groups.

| Groups are not lifelined and thus cannot send/receive messages or host state, action, block, or timer elements.
|
|
|
| To create a group:
|
| · | Select the header elements that are part of the group
|
| · | Invoke the Group command (Diagram | Group)
|
|
|
| Header elements can also be moved in and out of groups using drag & drop or cut & paste.
|
|
|
| Group elements can be added or modified using the Group Input Form:
|
|
|

|
|
| TIP: Pressing the Esc key will clear the contents of the input form and return the focus to the Type combo box. You can then select the type of element you want to add from the dropdown or by typing the first few letters of the desired selection.
