File Menu

Sequence Diagram Editor Top Previous Next

The File Menu provides commands for file management, diagram import/export, and printing tasks.

New menu	Submenu to create new diagram, classifier, or system
Close	Close the active diagram view
Open System...	Display the Open File dialog box to select a system file to open
Close System	Closes the active system window (ends the application if it is the last window)
Import menu	Submenu to import diagram(s)/classifier(s) from another system file
Save	Save the active system file
Save System As...	Save a copy of the system file with a given name
Export menu	Export diagrams to PDF or RTF
Page Setup	Change the page setup for the active diagram
Print Preview	Display a print preview for the active diagram
Print	Print the active diagram
Print Documentation...	Print documentation for the active diagram (shows preview first)
Recent Systems	Show a list of Most Recently Used (MRU) system files to open
Exit	Close the main window (exits the application if it is the last window)

New menu

New Item...	Display the New Item dialog box to create a new sequence diagram or classifier
New Folder	Create a new folder while in the diagram explorer or classifier explorer
New Sequence Diagram...	Display the New Item dialog box to create a new sequence diagram
New Classifier...	Display the New Item dialog box to create a new classifier
Blank System	Create a new blank system file with a single sequence diagram

Export menu

Export to RTF
Export set of diagrams to RTF document (displays RTF export dialog)

Export to PDF
Export set of diagrams to PDF document (displays PDF export dialog)

Image Export
Export set of diagrams as PNG images (displays image export dialog)
