| Diagram elements can be selected using the mouse or by extending the selection while moving the insertion position.

| To select elements using the mouse:
|
| · | Click on the element to select using the left mouse button
|
|
|
| To select multiple elements using the mouse:
|
| · | Hold down the Ctrl key while clicking elements to perform extended selection (clicking on a selected element unselects it)
|
| -or-
|
| · | Hold down the Shift key to perform a range selection of elements (from the first selected element)
|
|
|
| To select elements using the keyboard:
|
| · | Use selection extension insertion position movement commands (see Moving the Insertion Position)
|
|
|
| When elements are selected, the Input Form becomes a modify input form and can be used to change the last selected element.
