| Elements in a diagram can be repositioned using drag and drop. Header elements can only be dropped in the header portion of the diagram, while body elements can only be dropped in the body portion of a diagram.

| Note: Diagram elements can only be dropped in the same diagram where they are located. Dragging an element from one diagram to another is not supported (use Cut & Paste instead.)

|
| To move diagram elements using drag & drop:
|
| · | Select the element(s) to move
|
| · | Press the left mouse button while the cursor is over one of the selected elements and while holding down the mouse button move the mouse to the desired drop location
|
| · | As soon as the drag begins, the cursor will change into a drag cursor ( |
| · | The insertion position becomes a drop guide and will move to indicate where the elements are going to be dropped if the mouse is released
|
| · | Release the mouse button to complete the drop
|
|
|
| You may press the Esc key at any time to cancel the drag operation (before releasing the mouse button.)
|
|
|
| Drag scrolling will occur when the cursor reaches an edge of the diagram (or the header section for body element drags) and the diagram can be scrolled in that direction. The further away from the center of the diagram, the faster the diagram should scroll.

|
| If the drag reaches an invalid drop location, the cursor will change into a no drop cursor indicating that the drop cannot be completed at the current location.
|
|
|
| To copy diagram elements using drag & drop:
|
| · | Select the element(s) to move
|
| · | Press the left mouse button while the cursor is over one of the selected elements and while holding down the mouse button move the mouse to the desired drop location
|
| · | As soon as the drag begins, the cursor will change into a drag move cursor ( |
| · | The insertion position becomes a drop guide and will move to indicate where the elements are going to be dropped if the mouse is released
|
| · | Press and hold the Ctrl key, the cursor will change into a drag copy cursor ( |
| · | Release the mouse button while still holding the Ctrl key down to complete the copy drop
|
|
|
| You may press the Esc key at any time to cancel the drag operation (before releasing the mouse button.)
|
|
|
| You may toggle between copy & move during the drag by holding down or releasing the Ctrl key.
|
|
|
| Drag-n-drop operations can be undone/redone using the Undo/Redo commands.
