| Since free notes are not flow elements, they cannot be selected through insertion position movement commands. Instead, free notes can be selected using the navigation commands Select Previous Free Note (Diagram | Free Notes | Select Previous) and Select Next Free Note (Diagram | Free Notes | Select Next) available through the diagram menu or context menu.

| These commands select the previous or next free note in the diagram in the order in which they were added.
