Diagram Properties

Diagram properties such as title, description, author, keywords, note display level, page settings, and scale can be viewed and modified through the diagram properties dialog box. To display the dialog box invoke the Diagram Properties command through the main menu (Diagram | Diagram Properties), standard toolbar, or diagram context menu.  
 
General Tab  
 
Title
Title of the diagram
Show Title
Check to show the title in the diagram display (and in printed/exported diagrams by default)
Description
Description of the diagram
Show Description
Check to show the description in the diagram display (and in printed/exported diagrams by default)
Show Element Documentation
Can override per element documentation display options. One of: always, per element, or never. Default is per element. (See Note Display Levels)
Author
Diagram author(s)
Version
The version of the diagram (any text can be entered here)
Keywords
Keywords for the diagram (fully searchable)
Flow Note Level
Level of flow notes to display in the diagram in increasing order of detail: None, Summary, Information, Detailed. Default is to show all notes. (See Note Display Levels)
Free Note Level
Level of free notes to display in the diagram in increasing order of detail: None, Summary, Information, Detailed. Default is to show all free notes. (See Note Display Levels)
Default Font
Default font for the diagram
Size
Size of the default font for the diagram
Show Guidelines
Indicates if guidelines (dotted lines) should be shown or hidden
Show Line Numbers
Indicates if line numbers should be shown or hidden
 
 
Scale Tab  
 
 
Page Size
Current size of the diagram page
Landscape
Check to use landscape orientation, uncheck to use portrait orientation
Page Setup...
Click to change the page setup of the current diagram
Width
Scale factor for the diagram width
Height
Scale factor for the diagram height
Lifeline Width
Use to increase the default width of lifelines for this diagram
Lock Aspect Ratio
Check to lock aspect ratio when changing width or height
Reset
Reset the scale to normal
 
 
Footer Tab  
 
The footer tab allows you to specify the footer information for the diagram, which is used during normal printing. Footer information is not used in exported diagrams.  
 
Override Default Footer
If checked, the footer settings in this diagram override the global footer settings. Otherwise, the global footer settings are applied to this diagram.
Left
The left footer for the diagram
Center
The center footer for the diagram
Right
The right footer for the diagram
