Represents a section or part of a diagram being treated as a functional block. Similar to a procedure or function call that abstracts functionality or details not shown at this level. Can optionally be linked to another diagram for elaboration.

Optionally, the element can be anchored to lifelined header elements to limit the placement of the rectangle.

Diagram Link Elements are added and modified using the Diagram Link Input Form:

TIP: Pressing the Esc key will clear the contents of the input form and return the focus to the Type combo box. You can then select the type of element you want to add from the dropdown or by typing the first few letters of the desired selection.

Text	Display text for the element (shown in the block rectangle)
From	Optional name of the lifelined header element to serve as the source of the rectangle. Leave blank to start with leftmost header element.
To	Optional name of the lifelined header element to serve as the end of the rectangle. Leave blank to end at the rightmost header element.
Link	Name of the linked diagram (or 'No Link' if no diagram is linked)
Set Link...	Click to establish a link to another diagram or to clear existing link
Show Link	Checked to display a clickable link in the diagram, uncheck to display text without link
Embedded	Currently not supported
Doc	Documentation associated with the diagram link element
Show Doc	Check to show documentation for the diagram link as an element documentation note or uncheck to hide (depending on Diagram Properties)

TIP: You can edit the element's documentation notes in a larger window using the Edit Documentation... command in the Diagram Menu
